HI, I’M WENDY
I know what it's like to recover — and still quietly wonder, “why don't I feel like myself?”
I lived that gap between “you're fine now” and actually feeling well. It's what led me to build this program.
DO YOU FEEL LIKE THIS?
You recovered from your illness or surgery…
but you still don't feel like yourself.
Brain Fog
Anxiety
Living on high alert
Fatigue
Waiting for the other shoe to drop
Feeling overwhelmed
Unresolved Symptoms
Poor sleep
Feeling disconnected from your body
Does any of this sound familiar?
✓ You don't feel like yourself anymore.
✓ You're “healed,” but your body still doesn't feel safe.
✓ You're exhausted from trying to figure out what's wrong.
✓ You miss the person you used to be.
✓ You're afraid this might be as good as it gets.
✓ New symptoms have appeared that no one can seem to explain.
✓ You have had to change aspects of your life to adjust to lingering symptoms.
If you're nodding your head as you read this, you're not imagining it—and you're not alone.
Many people recover physically from an illness or surgery, yet their nervous system is still operating as if the danger hasn't passed. When your body remains stuck in survival mode, it can affect sleep, energy, focus, mood, and even inflammation. The good news is that your nervous system can learn new patterns, and that is exactly what Road to Resilience is designed to support.
WHY THIS HAPPENS
Most people believe that once an illness or surgery is over, the body simply goes back to normal.
But that's not always what happens
While your body may have healed physically, your nervous system may still be responding as if the danger hasn't passed.
Your nervous system is designed to protect you. During illness or surgery, it automatically shifts into survival mode, helping you get through a difficult time. The challenge is that sometimes it never fully receives the message that you're safe again.
One of the key players in this process is the vagus nerve—the primary communication pathway between your brain and many of your body's organs. It helps regulate your heart rate, breathing, digestion, inflammation, your ability to shift from stress into rest and recovery and so much more.
When vagal activity is reduced after illness, poor sleep, or prolonged stress, your body can have difficulty returning to its natural state of balance.
As a result, you may continue to experience:
• Fatigue
• Brain fog
• Anxiety
• Nagging symptoms
• Poor sleep
• Feeling easily overwhelmed
• A constant sense of being "on alert"
Your symptoms are real.
This isn't "all in your head." Your nervous system is one of your body's master communication systems. It influences how your immune system, heart, lungs, digestive system, and brain work together. When it becomes dysregulated, it can affect nearly every aspect of how you feel. Supporting your nervous system complements the medical care you're already receiving by helping your body return to a more regulated state.
THE ENCOURAGING NEWS IS THIS:
The nervous system can change.
With the right support, it can learn new patterns.
It can begin to feel safe again.
And when that happens, many people begin to notice improvements not only in how they function—but in how they experience life.
That's why I created Road to Resilience.
INTRODUCING THE PROGRAM
There Is a Different Path Forward
If your nervous system learned to protect you, it can also learn to feel safe again.
That's the foundation of Road to Resilience.
I created this 12-week coaching program to help people who have recovered from an illness, surgery or prolonged periods of stress but never quite felt like themselves again. We work with one of the body's most important healing systems - your nervous system. Your nervous system, specifically the vagus nerve, controls, supports and directs so many of the body's functions that when we repair it, your body begins to operate on a more stable foundation. This stabilized foundation supports your body as a whole.
This isn't about pushing through or trying harder. It's about helping your body learn a new pattern. One where you can move beyond managing symptoms, address the neurological root and begin to feel calm, get relief, and overall feel more like yourself.
The Road to Resilience Framework
Recovery is about more than healing physically. It's about helping your nervous system recover, rebuilding trust in your body, and creating habits that support your well-being for years to come.
01
Restore
Help your nervous system feel safe again.
Healing begins when your body no longer feels like it has to stay in protection mode. Using ultrasound vagus nerve stimulation, simple daily practices, and personalized coaching, we'll help your nervous system shift toward regulation, creating the foundation for healing, recovery, and resilience.
02
Rebuild
Reconnect with your body—and yourself.
When you've been through a significant illness or surgery, it's common to lose confidence in your body and question who you are now. Together, we'll strengthen your resilience, develop practical coping tools, and help you rebuild trust in your body while navigating the emotional and identity changes that often accompany recovery.
03
Resilience
Create a new way of moving through life.
By the end of the program, you'll have a personalized resilience toolkit filled with practices, routines, and strategies that support your nervous system long after the program ends. Rather than relying on short-term fixes, you'll leave with the confidence and skills to continue caring for yourself for years to come.
Healing isn't about becoming the person you were before your illness. It's about becoming the person you are now—with greater self-understanding, renewed confidence, and a nervous system that knows how to find its way back to balance.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
What's Included in Your Journey
1
Every participant receives a handheld ultrasound vagus nerve stimulation device to use throughout the program—and to keep afterward.
This gentle technology provides direct stimulation to the vagus nerve, supporting your nervous system's ability to shift out of survival mode and into a state more conducive to rest, recovery, and resilience.
2
Weekly Coaching
THE GUIDANCE
For 12 weeks, we’ll meet together each week to make sense of what you’re experiencing, celebrate the changes you notice, answer your questions, and gently adjust your approach as you go.
You’ll have consistent support throughout the journey—including coaching, guidance with your device, and space to make adjustments when something isn’t working for you. There’s no need to have it all figured out before you begin. We’ll discover what works for you together.
3
Road to Resilience is more than a coaching program. It's a personalized system designed to help retrain your nervous system, build resilience, and help you feel like yourself again. Over 12 weeks, we'll combine four powerful elements that work together to support your healing.
Vagus Nerve Stimulation
THE FOUNDATION
Daily Nervous System Practices
THE SUPPORT
4
You'll learn simple practices that reinforce the work we're doing together.
These may include breathing techniques, vagus nerve exercises, heart coherence, reflection practices, and other personalized tools that help your nervous system recognize safety and build resilience over time.
Resilience Coaching
THE TRANSFORMATION
Illness doesn't just affect the body. It often changes how we see ourselves.
Together, we'll explore the emotional side of recovery—rebuilding trust in your body, navigating uncertainty, strengthening your mindset, and creating a new relationship with the life you're living today.
Because healing isn't only about recovering from illness. It's about reclaiming yourself.
Each part of the program has a purpose. Together, they create the conditions for your nervous system to heal, your confidence to grow, and your resilience to last.
"I understand this because I lived it.
MEET WENDY
I know what it's like to recover… but still not feel like yourself.
When I went through my own health challenges, I expected that once my body healed, life would return to normal. It didn't. For a while, I wondered if this was simply going to be my new normal.
Like so many people, I found myself asking questions that no one seemed to be talking about.
Why am I still exhausted?
When am I going to stop being nauseous?
Is this pain ever going to go away?
Why does everything feel so overwhelming?
Why don't I feel like myself anymore?
As I searched for answers, I discovered something that changed the direction of my work. Healing isn't only about recovering physically. Sometimes it's the nervous system that still needs support.
That realization led me to study the nervous system and vagus nerve stimulation. I began integrating this work with the foundations I had already spent decades developing through social work, Reiki, mindfulness, and mind-body healing.
The result is Road to Resilience—a program that brings together science, compassionate coaching, and practical tools to help people rebuild trust in their bodies and feel like themselves again.
Today, I combine more than 30 years of experience as a social worker, mindfulness teacher, Reiki practitioner, and healing circle facilitator with my own lived experience of recovery to guide others through this journey.
Because I believe healing isn't just about surviving what happened. It's about reclaiming your life.
